President & Chief Executive Officer

Bob has senior management experience spanning over 30 years in competitive retail environments including e-commerce, optical and jewelry industries. He has expertise in turn-around situations, including developing new business strategies, organizational restructuring, host negotiations and corporate fiscal responsibility. Bob served as Senior Vice Presidents of Brands with a national US retail optical chain with more than 750 locations. Bob has also worked as an established consultant in the optical industry providing guidance to companies of all sizes based on experiences and proven results. In his spare time, Bob enjoys studying History, travel and spending time with his family.

Ben Gaddie O.D., FAAO

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Ben Gaddie serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Total ECP, helping to oversee the clinical experience in addition to all aspects of doctor education, training and development throughout our nationwide network of practices. Dr. Gaddie is the Executive Vice President of the Optometric Glaucoma Society (OGS), Co-Chairman of the International Vision Expo Meetings, & Past President of the Kentucky Optometric Association. In 2015 he was awarded the Kentucky Optometric Association Optometrist of the Year Award. Dr. Gaddie practices at the Gaddie Eye Centers, a Total ECP practice in Louisville, KY that was started by his father over 50 years ago.

Paul Karpecki, O.D., FAAO

Medical Director

Dr. Paul Karpecki serves as Medical Director of Total ECP, responsible for clinical development of best practices, eye disease diagnostic and treatment protocols, clinical education and original research. Dr. Karpecki is Director of Ocular Surface Disease, Gaddie Eye Centers/TotalECP in Louisville KY; Director of Cornea, Kentucky Eye Institute in Lexington KY; & Associate Professor, Kentucky College of Optometry. Dr. Karpecki has been Chair or Co-Chair of Delphi, DEWS I and II, TFOS, and The Dry Eye Summit. He also serves as Chief Medical Editor, Review of Optometry & Board of Directors, Optometry Giving Sight.

Mike Austin

Senior Vice President, Operations

Mike leads the development and management of the Operations Center. Major functions of the Operations Center include Billing and Collections, Call Center, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Credentialing, and System Integration. He has been in the Optical Industry since 2000 and previously held senior leadership roles with Cole Vision and Luxottica-USA, in the fields of Operations, Finance, Strategy, Managed Care, and Product Development. Mike earned his business degree from Kent State University and currently resides in Cincinnati with his wife Lauren, and two sons, Matt and Ryan.

Jay Binkowitz

Executive Vice President, Business Strategy

Over the last 30 years, Mr. Binkowitz has had extensive experience in retail operations, merchandising & marketing, manufacturing & distribution, technology development, national sales, and on-site interactive consulting. With the development of GPN™, he created a unique company that provides independent practitioners with business management tools and processes and is the founder of The EDGE. Mr. Binkowitz served 2 years as the Benedict professor at the Houston College of Optometry. He has published articles in many eye care industry magazines and is a key note speaker at many industry events, both domestically and internationally. Jay’s personal passion include scuba diving , under water photography, international travel and most importantly time with his wife Bettina as well as his family and friends.

George Todd, CPA, MPA

Vice President of Finance

George is responsible for oversight of financial operations and guiding the strategic direction of the company. Prior to joining Total ECP, George served as Controller for Privia Health and Envision Experience where he managed the financial deliverables of the company, including month-end close, annual audit and financial reporting. George started his career with PwC where he led the execution of financial statement audits for public and non-public real estate companies. George has been a CPA for over 8 years and holds a Masters in Professional Accountancy and B.B.A. in Accounting from West Virginia University. George loves spending time with his wife Megan and their two children, Nora and Ethan along with Lucy (aka ole pooch) their family dog. Outside of work, George enjoys spinning class, EPL soccer and Nationals baseball.

Lance Snarr

Senior Vice President, Business Development

Lance started his career as a CPA with Price Waterhouse Coopers where he obtained extensive experience in Mergers & Acquisitions. From there he launched his long career in the Eye Care industry where he has held senior management positions in a number of industry leading organizations, both nationally and internationally. Lance built and then sold Cincinnati based Thoma & Sutton Eye Care with 22 locations. Most recently Lance served as Vice President over Acquisitions and Business Development for Clarkson Eyecare/Eye Care Partners. Lance received his formal education from Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business where he graduated Cum Laude. Lance is married with four children and enjoys hiking, hunting and is an enthusiastic Harley rider.

Tim Leland

Director of Business Development

Tim joined Total ECP to help drive the group’s efforts to acquire leading medically-focused Optometry practices throughout the country. For over 20 years Tim has been a Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”) Professional with experience in investment banking, private equity, and corporate development. Prior to joining Total Eye Care Partners, Tim was the Director of Corporate Development at EyeCare Partners, LLC. Tim also served as the Managing Director at Twain Financial Partners in St. Louis; and Managing Director at TGP Investments, LLC in Kansas City. Tim is on the Board of Directors of Executive Connections St. Louis, and is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth. He resides in St. Louis, Missouri, with his wife Melissa and his daughter Taylor.
